Pumpkins

Gather the family and join us on the farm to share in what our rich soil has to offer. All throughout the Summer and into the Fall, Snipes Farm gives you the opportunity to take part in a bountiful harvest of healthy fruits and lifelong memories. It all makes for terrific outdoor family experiences. Our Pick Your Own Season starts in June and runs through October. Whether you want Blueberries, Thornless Blackberries, or Apples, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the sun, the air and the soil. See you on the Farm!

Harvest seasons are listed below. Please note that Mother Nature controls ripening during any given harvest season. Please call ahead on any given day to check our picking schedule and fruit availability.

Blueberries
Blueberry picking begins monday June 23rd, 2008 and runs until approximately saturday July 12th, 2008.  The blueberry patch is open monday to sunday, 9:00am to 4:00pm.  $6.00 per quart.  Quart boxes provided.  Come to the farm and follow signs to berry picking!

Blackberries
Blackberry picking will open on approximately July 21st, 2008.

Apples
Wow! A fresh, tree ripened apple is like no other apple! Our first varieties, Ginger Gold and Red Mac ripen in the third week of August. From then on the orchard ripens consecutively through September and October. Varieties include: Ginger Gold, Red Mac, Gala, Honey Crisp, Red and Yellow Delicious, Ida Red, Empire, Jonagold, Melrose, Crispin, Braeburn and Stayman Winesap. Fresh apple cider, candy and caramel apples are made with our own fruit. Snipes Orchard is a low spray orchard using as many environmentally friendly products as possible.

Pumpkins
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a pumpkin; come find yours here. From mid-September through October pick your own or buy at our farm market.  Thousands to chose from.
